Population genetics of Golden Eagles in Central Asia

To assess the genetic diversity of the potentially distinct steppe population (represented through the subspecies Aquila chrysaetos daphanea, or Central Asian Golden Eagle locally called ‘Berkut’) which might be distinct due to the proposed existence of several glacial refugia in the region during the last Ice Age.
