Deputy Associate Administrator for Exploration in NASA‘s Science Mission Directorate
Deputy Associate Administrator for Exploration in NASA‘s Science Mission Directorate
The United States has embarked upon a revitalized effort to return to the Moon with robots and humans within 5 years. The Artemis Program includes returning humans to the surface of the Moon while conducting new and unique science investigations on and around the Moon. The Moon will also be used as a proving ground for future systems that will enable the first human mission to the surface of Mars. Steve Clarke will provide an overview of NASA‘s Science Mission Directorate missions and an update to the Artemis Program and the evolving plans to accomplish the ambitious goals of returning humans to the surface of the Moon by 2024 and conducting ground- breaking science on and around the Moon with our international and commercial partners.
