Forschung


Das NHM Wien bietet hervorragende Möglichkeiten, um mit naturhistorischem Material zu arbeiten. Die umfangreichen und vielfältigen Sammlungen, das breit gefächerte Fachwissen der MitarbeiterInnen und die modernen Mikroanalyse-Geräte ermöglichen es, komplexe Daten von verschiedensten Objekten oder Proben zu generieren - von Organismen bis zum Mars-Meteoriten.

Viele der Proben sind einzigartig und erfordern somit eine möglichst zerstörungsfreie Analysetechnik. Daher bieten die Zentralen Forschungslabors des NHM ein sehr flexibles Spektrum fortschrittlicher Bildgebungs- und Analysetechniken über verschiedene Skalenbereiche.
