Inventories of Chironomidae in the Diptera 

COLLECTION OF THE NHMW 

A list of type specimens of Chironomidae is to be found within Nematocera (see below).
The subfamilies Tanypodinae and Chironominae have been reviewed by Goetghebuer. The original material of some of the species described by Goetghebuer listed in the Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera as nomina dubia are housed in the Diptera Collection of the NHMW.
Some types of species designated by Marcuzzi and listed in the Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera as nomina dubia are housed in the Diptera collection of the NHMW too.
