The ichthyological Library holds

• Some 400 journals (47 titles thereof from before 1900)
• Some 3,000 monographs (1,163 thereof from the 16th to the 19th century)

The ichthyological library is a reading library.Opening hours are

• Monday to Thursday, 9.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.,

and - exceptionally - by appointment (phone: +43 (1) 52177/361, Mrs. Prenner). Loans are possible only exceptionally, journals and monographs published before 1900 cannot be lent at all.
