The NHM takes part in the "Asteroid Day 2016" and offers guided tours and lectures.

Program at the NHM Vienna:

9:15 a.m. – 12 a.m.
Guided tours for school classes in the meteorite hall, combined with demonstration of “meteorite 3D-scanning and printing” in the NHM lecture hall

2 p.m.
Guided tour in the meteorite hall (in English): “What is the chance of a meteorite impact to occur on a June 30th?”

3 p.m.
Show in the Digital Planetarium (in German): “Violent Universe: Catastrophes of the Cosmos” 

4 p.m.
Guided tour in the meteorite hall (in German): “The link between asteroids and meteorites"

5 p.m.
Public talk (PD DDr. T. Posch, University Observatory Vienna) in the NHM lecture hall (in German): "The DAWN Mission: Studying the largest Asteroids"
