fine bouquet

The baroque miniature gemstone collection from around 1760 – a gift from Maria Theresa to her husband – is unique both for the value of the stones and for their artistic workmanship.
A profusion of sparkling flowers and insects of the most precious materials: in 1997 a total of 2,102 diamonds and 761 colored precious and ornamental stones were counted in the gemstone bouquet. The vase is carved from rock crystal and the leaves made of pale green silk, unfortunately now badly faded.
Dr. Vera Hammer presented the gemstone bouquet to a film team on the occasion of 650 years gold- and silversmithy ("650 Jahre Gold- und Silberschmiede).
