Evenings in the Fool's Tower

This lung room of the NHM’s pathological anatomy collection in the Fool’s Tower is used to store wet preparations, such as the lungs of tuberculosis patients, employed in the training of doctors. Until the mid-19th century the building housed patients suffering from a range of mental illnesses. Since 1971 it has been home to the NHM’s pathological anatomy collection. During the frequent evening guided tours visitors gain an insight into areas off bounds to the public during the normal opening hours. The next tours will take place on 21 May and 18 June from 7:30 p.m. Please register here in advance: +43 1 52177-605 or eduard.winter@nhm-wien.ac.at
