Orcas of Norway

Alessandro De Maddalena (Simon’s Town, South Africa)
Prof. Alessandro De Maddalena, is an italian researcher specialized in marine predators. The lecture will cover the following topics: biology of the orca, its predatory tactics, relationship with humans, threats to the species, adequate methods to observe these animals in their habitat and will be accompained by beautiful photographs shot by De Maddalena during serveral expeditions that he hosted in different areas along the cost and inside the fjords of Norway, but mostly in the area of Tromso.
